HOW TO REACH

Diamond Harbor is easily accessible from Kolkotta. The road as well as rail services link the delightful destination of Diamond Harbor with the kaleidoscopic Kolkotta.

BY RAIL - There are trains that leave the Sealdah station and connect Kolkotta with Diamond Harbor; the entire journey is completed in about an hour and a half.

BY ROAD - Then there are frequent buses that ply between the Shahid Minar bus terminus and Diamond Harbor throughout the day. The government runs these buses. Some private bus services can also be availed from Babughat in order to travel to the Diamond Harbor. The cars and the chartered buses make the other possible means of transportation to Diamond Harbor.
(I used to go to Diamond Harbor frequently since when I was in college (1978-79). At that time the old fort was the main attraction of Diamond harbor. We saw there three abandon canons lying at the ground of old fort. There was five ways to enter the underground fort. Suddenly we saw some people start to loot big wooden logs by digging the ground of the fort and at that same time the said three canons was lifted and taken away from that place. I don't know who were the persons and from which department taken the canons. And it is evident that after digging the fort and lifting wooden logs has accelerated the ruin of the fort. It is our appeal to department of Archeology to come forward to preserve the historical place - old fort.)
